I have a ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 and some other goodies in the basket at NewEgg. But, before i pull the trigger, I have a question please:

Will this MB run my existing 2 EVGA GTX 480 graphics cards at 2 X SLI AND also my EVGA GTX 280 as a dedicated Physx card?

Your kind advice is appreciated. If it's a go - I immediately whip out the VISA card and flow some significant goodness to my new gaming riggage:

(if you see any bad choices below feel free to point them out.)

ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
i7 2600k
Corsair Obsidian Series 650D
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
NZXT HAVIK-140 CPU Cooler w. Dual 140mm Fans
OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-90G 2.5" 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - as cache - thus the Z68
Corsair 1000 watt PS
LG Black Super Multi Blue Internal SATA 12x Blu-ray Disc Rewriter SATA WH12LS38 LightScribe Support - OEM
PLEXTOR Internal DVD Super Multi Black SATA Model PX-L890SA LightScribe Support

and my existing graphics kit: (assuming this works.)
GTX 480 2 X sli
GTX 280 dedicated Physx

thank you very much

Yes that gpu setup will work. But some issues with other components. Is that the vengeance with high heatsinks? If so, it will have issues fitting any decent heatsink. 60gb+ ssd is better without ssd caching(which is a completely useless feature imo) which is also why intel set a 64gb limit. It is directed more for 20-30gb ssds for low budget clients.

Thanks for taking the time to help me. You caught two things i completely missed.

I didn't think about the clearance between the cpu cooler and the memory (yep the ones i selected have the fins!)

You saved me $100 and unknown amount of swearwords :)

I'll also buy a smaller and cheaper ssd as i don;t know the Intel caching limit. You saved me some more bucks here as well.

May good karma flow your way.
