Asrock Z77 Extreme 4

Hey I just got the Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 and I was curious if the red lights at the bottom are supposed to stay lit or just during boot up. The reason I ask is the power symbol, "reset and "A2" light up red at the bottom but after a while they turn off. Is my MOBO defective? Or shorting?

thats normal. theres an option in the BIOS wherein you may let it on or off or automatic.
