I want to buy a new motherboard in between ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 VS ASROCK Z87 Extreme4 Vs ASROCK Z87M Extreme4.

My Question is which one to buy. I have a single graphic card XFX 7790. What is the difference between ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 VS ASROCK Z87 Extreme4. Is it worth to buy the Z87. And what is the difference between ASROCK Z87 Extreme4 Vs ASROCK Z87M Extreme4. What does M stand for.

And is ASrock Reliable or should i choose different brand.. Thanks in advance..

Solution
Asrock is fine. The Z87 is meant for the 1150 socket, which include CPUs from Haswel line of CPUs, like 4670K for example.
The Z77 is for Ivy bridge, thats the 1155 socket, for CPUs like 3570K.

MAKE SURE which goes with the CPU you choose.

The "M" means it a micro-ATX board, which is smaller and more compact, only use those if they are cheaper or if the case you choose is smaller and does not support full ATX motherbaords.

Solution
Hi,
First thing : look at the warranty. If it's under 3 year I would not buy it..
the z77 and z87 is the chipset, usually, the higher the better (to keep it simple) Basically the chipset get match to a cpu and these chipset all allow overclocking (if you have a proper cpu)
The difference between the m and non m is that the non m has more features (surround sound by hdmi, can triple sli/crossfire (instead of 2), 2 more sata ports ect.
