Asrock Z77 Pro3 overclocking problem

Hi, I own the z77 pro3 motherboard and an i5 3570k cpu
when I'm trying to overclock, the VID will always stay the same.. no matter what I put in bios, as soon as I start testing with prime95, the VID will always go to 1.311, even though I set manual vcore on offset mode.
what am I doing wrong? why does the VID keeps going 1.311 even though I set it lower?
and btw, I used the optimized CPU OC profile at 4.2ghz, and the temps were 63celsius max. that's normal I guess?

VID is not what the voltage actually is.

wait so 1.311 is the default voltage?
I thought it's around 1.2!

It's not something to live by. That's really just an inflated voltage that they are 100% sure without testing will work. In all honesty, don't worry at all about VID.
