ASRock Z87 DDR3 - Issues with Dual-Channel Memory

I just assembled a PC with the ASRock Z87 Pro3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. Placing any RAM into the A1 or A2 slots results in a boot error saying that there is bad memory in channel A. I have tried every combination of RAM / # of slots / location. They all work fine on their own or in pairs in B1 or B2, but as soon as one is placed in A1 or A2 I get the boot error. (yes I have tried A2/B2 and A1,B1)

Background:
I'm not very proficient in hardware, so I turned to this forum for a build suggestion. I followed a build which called for G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

However, my budget was a little higher so I bought Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000)

I have not updated the BIOS, and it still has all default settings.

Could someone please help me figure out if this issue is a result of:
-Incompatibility
-Incorrect settings
-Defective channel on motherboard

I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Solution
Assumption: All memory is recognized and works when in the B1/2 slots.
You will need to update the BIOS AND enable the XMP memory profile in the BIOS.
You may also need to consult the ASRock website for that board and check to see if the memory you bought is compatible with the board.
If those still don't work, call ASRock support and tell them what is happening. You may need to RMA the board, but call the support line first.
