ASRock Z87 Extreme4 RAM configuration

I am goingbto be installing a hyper 212 evo onto this board. I just would like to know what slots the ram dhould be installed in for high performance. I just don't want the 212 evo to get in the way of it

For Dual Channel and a larger HSF use the following DIMM Slots: [CPU] | blank | RAM | blank | RAM |

If you purchase pretty much any low-profile DDR3 kit the RAM will fit under most all HSF assemblies.

So I should use the second slot and the fourth slot? Do you think that will be enough room?

Depends on the RAM's height and the clearance. If you populate only the last (2) two DIMM Slots all you'll be missing out on is the benefits of Dual Channel; 2 + 4 or 1 + 3 or 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = Dual Channel; see page 20 of your manual - ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/Z87%20Extreme4.pdf

i have asrock z87 extreme4 motherboard and i have installed hyper 212 evo.
it is doing fine with Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) RAM sticks.
i installed the rams: [CPU] | blank | RAM | blank | RAM |
enough room.
