I've been reading forums about the this mobo for days now, and it seems that ppl have had to flash their bios to get to use 4th gen cpu on this mobo. This was 2 years ago tho, now im just asking. If im gonna buy this mobo with my 4790k, am i gonna have to do any BIOS flashing, or will it run out of the box with no problems. Basically, they do sell it out with newest BIOS right?

In addition, any recommendations which mobo to OC 4790k, im having hard times with my Asus H81M-PLUS atm. And im starting to get this feeling, its not a mobo for overclocking. Open for new ideas!

Intel Extreme Utility and AI Suite seems to lock my multipliers on x44, via BIOS i can go higher, but if i do, the CPU will throttle down to x8 after awhile. And this is not caused by the temp, since the throttle happens below 60celcius.

Let me just add my current setup here,

Case: Fractal Design Define mini (mATX)
Mobo: Asus H81M-PLUS (mATX)
Power supply: Chieftec CFT 600w
CPU: Intel i7 4790k (and yes, it rly is K, the multiplier isnt locked for that reason)
CPU cooler: Corsair H80i V2
Memory: DDR3 1600hz 2x8gt
GPU: Asus GTX1080

And if this OC problem is caused by the mobo, which i think it is.
These are the upgrades i would go for.

Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D (ATX)
Mobo: Asrock Z87 OC FORMULA (Open for suggestions, req. ATX, able to do OC on my cpu)
Power Supply: Corsair RM750w
CPU: Intel i7 4790k (from current setup)
CPU cooler: Corsair H80i V2 (from current setup)
Memory: DDR3 1600hz 2x8gt (from current setup)
GPU: Asus GTX 1080 (from current setup)
