Recently I had a power outage in my area and my computer (as well as everything else in the room) was powered off. I had it plugged into a surge protector, however, and I can't see why this would have caused the problem. Nevertheless, my computer's BIOS screen will no longer display.
Let me elaborate...
If I turn on my computer, it will boot up to Windows, without any Asrock screen coming up when powered on. This was torublesome to me, and I wasn't satisfied without a working BIOS scree, so I decided to reset the CMOS on the motherboard. Still no result, but now the machine doesn't know which drive to boot to, so I have to remove all but the SSD my OS is installed on.
I've been troubleshooting here, and all I can seem to find is that the motherboard is now, all of the sudden, faulty. Could this be the case? Should I just go in for a replacement?
