AsRock Z97 Extreme4 Opinions ?

Im building a new PC and I want to buy this MBO : Asrock Z97 Extreme4 .
Is it a good motherboard or shoud I go with some cheaper MBOs like Asus H97-PLUS or a Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ?

Other specifications will be :


PSU : Fortron Raider S PSU 650W,80+ SILVER
CPU : i5-4690K 3.50Ghz
Ram : 8 gb
GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming


I ask because someone else told me that AsRock motherboards are not reliable/good as Asus or Gigabyte...

No, its a great motherboard with enough features and good overclocking results. It is a really good choice for your CPU!

No, Asrock motherboards are as good as others are. Extreme 4 is one of the best budget overclocking motherboard.

The AsRock Z97 Extreme4 motherboard is JUNK. They have a severe issue with this board and the Extreme6. After several months of use the motherboard will brick when the power cable is unplugged and plugged back in. This is a well known issue that AsRock refuses to fix.

I agree, thanks God I bought the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5, very solid board, good quality.
