Hello, I just built a new rig and cannot get it to boot properly. The post code Is 00 and the manual says to check the CPU is installed properly and reset CMOS. I did both of those. My specs are:
ASRock Z97 Extreme6
Intel i-4790K BX80646I74790K
G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB F3-1600C9D-16GSR
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 01G-P3-1561-AR

The graphics card is from my old computer and was working fine this morning. I saw on another forum that the BIOS may have a problem with the i-4790K, but since I am getting no signal to the monitor, I don't know how I can update th BIOS.

Unfortunately I don't have another LGA 1150 processor to test with :(

Any help is greatly appreciated and happy Thanksgiving!

before you pull any parts...look to see if you plugged in the cpu power plug the 4/8 pin power connector on the side of the mb and make sure the gpu has all of it power plugs connected. if they are. pull the gp and three ram sticks see if the mb will post with onboard video.

Thanks for the suggestion! Not quite sure I understood it though. Based on what you said I:
-Checked the 24 pin ATX power connector on the side of the mobo
-Checked the ATX 12V 8 pin connector at the top left corner of the mobo
-Checked both 6 pin PCIE connectors on the GPU and to the PSU
After unplugging and replugging all those, I booted up and still had no signal and post code 00. So then I:
-Removed the GPU
-Took out one stick of ram (now only 1 stick in A2)
Booted again and same problems.

FWIW my PSU is the Thermaltake Toughpower 750W Gold and the GPU fan was working when it was plugged in. Both were working this morning in my old computer, although I know failures can happen at any time, especially when changing set ups.

Again, thanks for the ideas, please keep them coming!

Not sure if I'm looking in the right place, but both bios A and bios B have little stickers that read P1.30.
