HI everyone-

I tried posting this in the Components forum but I got no joy so I thought I might try here.... Basically my situation is, I have a pretty sweet desktop setup I bought and built last August (with absolutely complete and total help from this community, Toms Hardware forums basically was my lifeline) ... I did skimp on the keyboard and mouse at the time, buying quite inexpensive but functional Logitechs. About 2-3 weeks ago an errant bowl of chicken soup ruined my keyboard so I bought what I should have bought in the first place, a Cooler Master Devastator II LED Keyboard & Mouse combo.

Everything is great except for the fact that the mouse LED never turns off. Ever. The keyboard is manually lighted by pressing the Scroll Lock key but the mouse is always on... and it never shuts off -- if I put to sleep, hibernate, or power off shut down, it stays on. I have to remove the plug from the motherboard USB port.

I did some reading and some people suggested there was a motherboard power setting in BIOS called "ErP" -- but there is no ErP setting in BIOS that I can find. I think maybe it's company-specific and ASRock doesn't have it. The only thing remotely related I found in the BIOS was settings to allow USB Mouse or USB Keyboard (and PS/2 ones) to wake the system, which were already disabled. So I am at a loss here.

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it.... I can't keep removing the cord from the computer as this will cause problems long term. Thanks!
