Asrock z97 pro3 question

I am installing this mobo and am not sure what the molex jack labelled pcie pwr1 is used for, is this necessary as i want to cut down on cables

well its brought up here and they said its in the manual ??

'' the manual says to use it when installing three graphics cards. With only one 16x PCI-E slot, your only option would be to use some pretty dire graphics cards here so we're not sure why this found its way onto the PCB.''

maybe if you use a high end amd card that sucks in power use it foe added stability of the power to the card ??
