I just got this awesome game but do not understand any words of the possible graphic settings.

I have an:
Asus laptop N76VZ , Windows 8 (upgraded it to 8.1) 64bit.
System RAM: 8.0 gb
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz
now I don't know my graphic driver the sticker says: nvidia geforce gt 650m
but my system detector says: Intel® HD Graphics 4000

so I'm very confused (for the past year not knowing what my laptop has for specifications)
http://uk.hardware.info/productinfo/174220/asus-n76vz-v4g-t1240h#tab:specifications
(use a cpu-z program to scan my pc, txt file at http://docdroid.net/79f0)
I did hear that the vram clock speed is to slow or something is to low on the Asus N-series but cant find my "vram"

my real question would be more: at what setting can I play AC4 and can I do much with my specifications in general??

Sincerely, thanks=)

Thanks for answering, TehNinjaCat and fastestlouigie1 :. and what GPU would be recommended for this kind of laptop?

The option you're looking at is your laptop's in-built graphics on the cpu (processor). Plug your laptop into mains and you can then enable the laptop's dedicated graphics card (the 650)-Yes, the laptop has two graphics processors, one for less demanding stuff (word processing etc.), the other one for more demanding stuff (let's face it, Games!) Can't remember how to enable it permanently but right click on the program icon you want to run (AC4 in this case) and choose Run with graphics processor then Run with graphics processor high performance Nvidia processor. Voila! The game should run. Note that your laptop's fan will kick in most likely, making a bit of a racket in order to try and keep your computer cool...

What this guy said aswell, i think you can perm enable the 650M by messing around with the bios, although if you dont really want to tinker around with that just keep your laptop plugged in i guess :)

To change the graphics processor settings without having to do as I suggested in my last post (ie so you can just start the program as you normally would):
Right click on your desktop, choose NVidia Control Panel, click Manage 3D Settings then the tab Program Settings. You can then 1) Select a program to customise 2) Select the preferred graphics processor for this program 3) Don't bother looking at this setting!
Don't forget you should still have the mains lead plugged into the laptop-games take a lot of power to run all that pirate graphical goodness!

Elesker,
I don't think you're grasping some of the descriptions of computer parts here. Your laptop has two graphics processors, the nvidia geforce gt 650m, which is a dedicated graphics card and the Intel® HD Graphics 4000 which is the other graphics processor which is embedded in the I-7 CPU. The abbreviation for these graphics chips is GPU (graphics processing unit). So you don't need an external GPU. If your question is, "What GPU should I use for which application?", then generally speaking, choose the gt 650m for games and the integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4000) for everything else.
