Assassin creed 3 screen resolution problem

Hi, i just bought Assassin creed 3 for my pc. However when i try to play it on my 24inch dell u2412hm monitor which has a resolution of 1920x1200, it shows black bar on the top and bottom of the screen. I tried to set the game resolution to match my monitor but it doesn't seem to work at all . Why is it so? Any help will be appreciated.

its because you are playing at that 1200 width ....
turn your res to 1920*1080 and you will be fine with the black bars gone( 1920*1080 is full hd @ 1080p)....
the explanation to the black bars at a res of 1920*1200 is lengthy and i dont think u'll want to hear a long boooooring lullaby....

got a 1920 x 1200 samsung monitor on my second pc

most games play fine at 1920 x 1200

ie no black bars

but some ubisoft games dont--something to do with scaling as far as i remember

ac3 is probably another one of them
