Assassin's Creed 1 Compatibility With my spec

I already run ac1, the graphic set to highest still good but when i set the shadow to medium. It started to lag like crazy and i got 10-15 fps. I googled and go to the website named gamedebate it says my spec is great ruuning this game in its recommended requirements, but it wasn't. Please help!!!
Here are my specs:

Intel Core i3-530 @2.9Ghz
4gb RAM
NVIDIA Geforce GT 630 2GB
Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit
DirectX 11
1366x768 resolution

Have you tried using XP compatibility mode? Also make sure you install the DirectX files for the game.
