Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag will not run, error message upon startup

Hi all, I cannot play Assassins creed black flag because since purchase I have repeatedly received the same error message: ' ac4bfsp.exe has stopped working '. I have uninstalled the game and re-downloaded, this has served no different than the first situation. I have also spent many hours searching for solutions but it appears Ubisoft have not attempted to solve this problem. This error message occurs around 4 to 5 seconds after launch, before I am navigated to even the main menu. I have also tried verifying the integrity of the game cache through steam, uninstalled u-play and even disabled u-plays synchronizing game data. None of which have helped me. I have further waited (in vain) for Ubisoft to attempt to fix this problem, but it appears they have not made any efforts to do so within the past 6 or so months from when I purchased it. I bought the game through and steam and attempted to contact them asking for assistance and again for a refund, both times I was ignored. I know I am not the only person with this ,problem and I would greatly appreciate any help or solutions if anyone can provide such a thing. It's not an issue with the exe file itself.

It will be a problem with a windows or driver dependancy. Update all your drivers, check what compatibility settings are on the exe.

lastly, look into directx, physx, .net.
 


I've checked and updated all of my hardware drivers and newest software updates. I also have fully updated direct x and . net but not physx, I'm not even sure if I have that installed, may that be the reason?
