Hi,

I just downloaded Assassins creed syndicate through Uplay, but whenever I start it, the game runs until the Assassins creed symbol comes up and askes to press any key. Once it gets past there the game crashes with the message "ACS.exe has stopped working" there is no error number or reference unfortunately.

I have managed to get the game to run once in the ACS.exe file properties, compatibility tab and run compatibility troubleshooter.

my systems running a
ASUS P8Z77-V
i5-3570K processor
8GB ram
2 x XFX Radeon HD7870's in crossfire (I have the cross-fire profile set use AMD pre-defined, but have a tried all the other profile options)

just to update I have just tried to run the game with crossfire disabled and I am still having the same issue. I have also verified the files on Uplay and they are coming back fine.

No, its situated in Drive E:

I should be, I am the only user and Administrator of the system, will it auto open as an Admin from that?

I've just tried it with overlay disabled but still the same

This is a bit time consuming. But uninstall the whole game and install it in C: disk if possible. Ubisoft has a reputation for not liking to have their games in other disks different than C: :D. Try it and post back.

Update. Right click on both the Uplay .exe and game .exe and click properties, and im compatibility check "Run as an administrator". Even if you are the admin you need to do that.
