Assassin's creed unity resolution problem

Hey guys. I recently installed Assassin's Creed Unity on my laptop...it worked well. But i was not able to change the resolution of the game. It is stuck at 1080p.There is no resolution option other than 1920x1080. I have updated my graphics driver. I tried changing the resolution manually by editing the ACU.ini file in the documents and making it read-only. Doesn't work.I reinstalled the game and still unable to change the resolution. It would automatically reset to 1080p. This resolution issue is only in Assassin's Creed Unity. Other games are working fine and i am able to change resolution. Anyone has a solution? Thanks in advance.

I've read people saying it won't go higher than 1080p. I just tried in on my desktop at 1440p DSR with my 1080 and it works. Best to use the Nvidia Inspector profile for the game if you have an Nvidia GPU though.

I have Nvidia GPU. Nvidia Geforce 940MX. But i am unable to play the game at 1366x768, which is my ideal resolution for all games. Is there any other way?

Try 1280x720. It may just be that the game only recognizes typical resolutions. I have seen YouTube videos of people on low spec running it a 720p, and it wasn't just the YouTube view size, they showed the game res setting as 1280x720.
