Hi I am Sathish from Chennai, this is my first time for ever writing in a blog.

I am planning to assemble a new pc with as low budget as possible.

So far I have been using dell studio 1558 laptop (costed Rs 50000) for the past 5 years. But now the nvidia graphics card got faulty, it gives no display. It has no inbuilt graphics card so I can't even connect an external monitor. The company also stopped manufacturing it so i can only get a second hand card ( costed Rs 2000) from a local service person which I did but it ran only 3 months so I don't want to do it again.

Now i am planning to assemble a new pc.

My laptop specs are
500gb hard drive
4gb ram with two 2gb slots
Core i3 processor

What are the advisable components i can take from my laptop to my pc.

I have a led tv so I don't need a monitor
I already have wireless keyboard mouse
I just need to assemble a cpu alone.

Help me guys..
Also if you have any ideas to connect an external monitor to my laptop let me know..

Solution
The only component you can likely reuse is the hard drive, and most laptop hard drives are both very small and very slow, and will seriously slow your desktop down when compared with a new drive.
Well as mentioned by Ecky only the hdd can be used and laptop rams are not compatible with desktops nor are the processors. So I suggest you build a new PC rather than to try scavenge your laptop. If you are limited by budget you can always build a moderate rig with an intel pentium/low end i3 processor with a good motherboard . This will also surly give you the ability to upgrade your PC in the future too. If you use your PC only for web browsing and some other light applications I recommend 4-8GB ram depending on your budget. Good luck!
