I plan to use one eSATA 4tb dual external hard drive (G-RAID) between two computers, both win 7, 64bit home premium os’s as stand alone units. I will move the external drive between the two computers to use as backup and video work, I would like both computers to see the same drive letter (K:) as an example every time the drive is reconnected to either computer. However, at the moment I have no idea how to set this up yet. Any information would be appreciate.

Thanks Terry

1. Right click on My Computer

2. Select Manage / Disk Management

3. With the drive connected, right click on it in the right panel, "Volume" column

4. Select "Change Drive letter and path", then "Change"

5. Select a letter and then OK ya way out.

Though, unless ya talking machines at different sites, I'd suggest a permanent NAS connected via ethernet to both puters.
