[SOLVED] Assistance in identifying an IC

We have a number of ‘4944’ chips in the power supply section of an industrial PC manufactured in Germany.
It is an 8 pin SOIC labeled as follows :

4944
(?) AE (delta symbol)
W75C

It may well be a voltage monitor however we have no schematics and a part number search so far has turned up nothing useful.
There are 4 of these parts in the vicinity of a number of PWM mosfet type voltage supplies of that is of any help.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
PS : This is a Kontron industrial PC.
