I'm attempting to set up my x61 in the Noctis 450, but am unsure of how to hook it all up.
The Noctis 450 has a PWM Fan Hub.
My motherboard has a CPU_fan as well as CPU_Opt.
The manual for the Kraken says to run the 3pin power cable to the CPU_PWR(cpu_fan) header. The Fan Hub on the Noctis has a PWM Cable(can be plugged in to either CPU_Fan or CPU_OPT) as well as a White pin header, which is reserved for the CPU Cooler. The Fan hub wants the White pin header connected to the CPU Cooler and states "when connecting the fan hub to the CPU_OPT port on the motherboard, connect a single fan to the white header for PWM functions to work properly."
So my question is this:
Can/Should I run the pump for the Kraken off of the White PWM Fan Hub connector and connect the PWM cable to the CPU_FAN header?
Or should I run the pump off of the CPU_Fan, the PWM cable to CPU_OPT, and connect the White PWM Fan Hub to a random case fan?
