[SOLVED] Assistance on ideal GPU for my i5-4570

My current specs:
i5-4570 @ 3.20GHz
GTX 660 2GB
10GB RAM

My GTX660 2GB has always been the worst thing about my PC. It is sadly too old to pass the minimum requirements for modern FPS's, and as such it is in need of an upgrade. I've heard that a common mistake when buying a new GPU is buying one that's too good for your CPU, and I think that situation applies to me right now.
I'm thinking of buying a 1060 3GB but I'm worried that it's too good for my old i5. Would there be a better GFX fit for my CPU, or would I be better off getting a new PC?

What is the make and model of your power supply?

The 1060 3gb shouldn't be bought. Go for the 6gb model.
Your CPU should be able to keep up rather nicely.

It's a "Cooler Master" power supply, the product name is "Thunder 500W" and the model is "rs-500-acab-m3"
