im older than most college kids. is getting an associates in programming good idea? and i do. what to choose. web development or application development. not mobile app. but applications.

my goal is to just get a job in that field. that can feed me. idk what u with second question. the degree is for web development or program and application development.

Are you willing/able to relocate?

Check the local IT employment ads as well as ads for other locations you where would be willing to work.

Study the job requirements/skill sets and experience being sought by the potential employers.

Match what skills etc. you have to what skills are being sought. Apply accordingly.

You may not get your dream job at first. However, if you work hard and prove yourself then more opportunities may appear.
