Astro A40 Headset not working on Laptop

Hello~~

I bought a new pair of headsets for my laptop recently but I can't get it to work on it. I've had my friend test the headset on his computer and it works there and I've taken my laptop taken in to have it's audio jacks tested and to make sure there were no problems with it in general. I didn't bring my headset with me when I went to get everything tested, but we tested everything with headsets that were at the repair store and they worked fine (after updating all the drivers, etc.).

I returned home and plugged in my headset to test it out and now they still aren't working and I can't figure out why.

My laptop is a MSI GE60 Apache Pro and my headset is Astro A40.

Whenever I plug my headset jacks in I get a message saying: http://gyazo.com/ec6e89dbf63df6c666178e10c62d2dce

But when I look at playback/recording devices, they are not listed:

(However, when I plug my headset in I am able to hear things through it)

I feel like there's probably some simple step that I'm missing but I can't figure out what it is. Can anyone help me with this problem?
 


took them to the shop and they updated all the driver s =/ unless in the 2 hours it took me to get back home something changed
