All people say:both work well on pc at 7.1?

The main difference is the mixamp which provides for surround sound on consoles and PC. So yes the $100 is worth it for FPS games.

If you have good pc, the 7.1 well work fine without mixamp...is this right

The one thats for consoles come with connections to work with PC without the mixamp, if you don't want to. ALSO the pc verison DOES NOT contain the mixamp, go to astro.com if you don't believe me.

Yes, without the mixamp you will have stereo audio. Unless you download Razer GameBoost. Not sure how it works, but I think it enhances sounds, basically like a sound card.

You still need the optical out and an optical cable for surround sound audio.
