I'm currently unable to run Windows 11, because my ROG STRIX B450-F motherboard doesn't have a TPM module. There is a 14-1 TPM header on the board, so I've purchased this ASUS 14-1 TPM module.

However, it appears to be incompatible, as its blanked off socket is in a different place to the missing pin on the m/b. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

Did you updater the BIOS? That ASUS released a BIOS update with firmware TPM 2.0 support. Plus it is enabled by default for Windows 11. You don't need a TPM module.

Here's an article covering it.

You need BIOS version 4502 or later (4602 is the latest)

Another article a bit more in depth published by ASUS support. You may also use it to look through your BIOS settings. To see if you even need the update or if you can enable it manually. As I'm not sure if an update is actually needed or if the update simply enables TPM...

I'm on BIOS version 4602, and firmware TPM is enabled.

It's crazy. PC Health Check says I can run Windows 11, and I have in fact updated the PC to it from within Windows 10. However, when I try to do a clean install by booting into the installation media, it fails because it thinks the system doesn't meet the requirements. I'm well and truly stumped.

Thanks, I fixed it.
