Asus 24B1st a 1.04 DVD with no drive letter mapped

Hello,
My Asus 24B1st a 1.04 DVD-writer doesn't have a drive letter mapped to it. The driver is loaded and you can boot from it by selecting it from the F12 key. Any ideas?

Can you see the optical drive in My Computer, or Computer from the Start Menu?
