Asus 5 way optimization not working.

I decided to run the auto OC since my CPU is getting a bit old and slow. So I started the optimization but the PC just keeps rebooting and blue-screening. It has now been doing that for 20 minutes. Should I do a hard reboot and reset everything?

My specs:
CPU: i5 4690k
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
RAM: 8gb 1600MHz
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1080

The bluescreening is (typically) failed overclocks. 5way optimization may take a while to successfully post - it's essentially overclocking and stress testing (lightly, relatively speaking)

5WO just looks to tables and tests. So, for example: 4690K = option 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Try 1. Success. Try 2. Success. Try 3. Fail. Retry/verify 3.
It can take a while. I don't remember exactly how long, but I think i've seen it take a half hour or so in the past - depends on the hardware and differing number of configurations in the lookup tables, I guess.
