Asus 580 or EVGA 580 SC

Building a new rig which one of these cards should I get.

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked Fermi 797MHZ 1536MB GDDR5 2XDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card
or
ASUS GeForce GTX 580 DirectCU II Fermi 782MHZ 1536MB GDDR5 2XDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E DX11 Video Card

Either one would be a great choice.

I'd go with the EVGA just due to the limited lifetime warranty though:

Currently $469 before a $20 rebate. It's cheaper, has a higher factory OC and a better warranty. All three are reasons to go with the EVGA.

Okay now for another question i know the DS version tends to dump the hot air into the case would you recommend the DS or the standard version

Either way, as long as the card's running within spec (max temp of 97C on the 580), you should be fine. One way or another, the heat's going to go somewhere. If your case has good airflow and ventilation, either card would be fine.

I would still recommend the EVGA due to the higher factory OC and the limited lifetime warranty.
