I just purchased the ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura. Seemed like a cool (and cheap) board with newer features than my ASRock 990FX Extrememe9 (even though it's the 970 chipset instead of the 990fx). Have loved my ASRock, but it's being a huge pain trying to get 4TB HDD's working - but that's a matter for a different post!
I love how on the ROG Maximus VIII there are headers to attach RGB strips to, but it appears that on the 970 Pro Aura these headers are absent, leaving the only RGB lights to the logo. This board is so new that I'm having trouble finding anything but reviews about it, and nothing about accessories. Anyone have any ideas how to mod the board to create headers so RGB light strips can be controlled by the ASUS RGB software? If I tapped into the RGB illuminating the logo and soldered to that, would there even be enough power to light up LED strips?
Thanks!
