Hello
I have an Asus a320m-k and I tried to reset the CMOS, but I ended up removing that golden piece circled in green that is in the image below. The computer is working normally but I'm afraid something might happen. Can you help me?

Sorry for my bad english!

I think it's hard to say what it's function is.

I also think that it would be a rare case that it would damage anything else.

What I would do....is use the computer and see what happens.
Here's the thing.....you may never need that capacitor.

We don't know.

It might be part of a circuit you never use.

It might be for noise reduction....and you might not notice if it's not doing its job.

It may be some sort of coupling capacitor.

So....being we have no idea.....and being your system is working ok.....I'd keep using it and see what happens.

There is a chance you may never have a problem.

But do you have any chance of damaging any component of the motherboard or any usb stick that is connected?

or the most that can happen is something stop working?

That capacitor I removed it had no apparent connection, it just looked like a golden shield. So much so that he left with extreme ease

Can you have any chance of it being a usb front panel 5v line filter?
