Hi. I have an Asus A515JA. It came with 4G memory. I need to increase this. Can someone tell me what type of memory i need and what whould be the max memory I could have in it please.

Do they have diffrent DDRs and do they have to be in pairs like a PC?

You can add one stick of 8gb So-Dimm to your laptop. https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-home/all-series/asus-x515/techspec/ Go to task manager, performance and click on memory. It will tell you memory info, like size and speed. You can also install CPU-ID program and check the info on your memory that way also.
