asus a52j overheat

hi i have this asus laptop a52j and after 5 mins of turn on the cpu temps goes over 80 and after a hour it shut down.
i have clean the fan and heatsink.
i replace the paste with new one and no progress its the same thing
the fan speed is 3800rpm
so any suggestion ?
may be the cpu is dying or faulty fan?

If the fan is working, then it could be a faulty heatpipe, that does not longer transfer the heat from the CPU/GPU.
Can you hear the fan spinning up as it overheats?
Do you feel the hot air coming from the side vent?
Is the heatpipe very hot?
Do you know which one is overheating (CPU or GPU)?
Did you thoroughly clean the old paste from the heatsink, CPU and GPU?
How much thermal paste did you use? Which brand?

Did you clean the fan and heatsink fins?
Many times there is lint and dust preventing cool air to flow thru the heasink fins.

can a faulty or dying cpu cause this?

If it was a faulty CPU your PC wouldn't start.
It could be the heatsink or motherboard.
