Question ASUS A53E - M.2 SSD capable?

Can anyone tell me if my ASUS A53E laptop (8 years old) has M.2 SSD capability?
Model: A53E
MB Ver: K53E
I've searched in multiple places to no avail. I know I can use a 2.5" SSD drive, but ideally I'd like to keep the existing 2.5" HDD, and put the fast M.2 SSD on the motherboard.

There are several different models in the A53E series (eg A53E-XA1) and since you haven't posted the full model number of yours it's impossible to know for sure what it's specifications are. However, I've seen no mention of M.2 on the specs sheet for the A53E-XA1 so it's likely the other variants in that model series don't have M.2 support either. It's unlikely to support M.2 on account of it's age as well.

Not a very positive/decisive answer I know, but it's the best I can do.

Thank you for your reply. I believe the full model number to be A53E-K53E SX637V. I have seen images of the motherboard and not seen anything resembling a PCIe slot or similar. Looks like I'll just have to swap the 2.5" HDD for a SSD. Thanks again for the help.
