Hi guys,
Not sure if anyone can help but I thought I would ask. This has been killing me for a couple of hours now.. anyways.
I am having problems with a new Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo, I can't seem to be able to get the onboard sound to work at all, it's not even being detected by Windows.
Thing is, the sound was working fine till later this afternoon when it just stopped working for some reason. The Nvidia nForce Control Panel would not load either, displaying an error message with something along the lines of "Reinstall your drivers". I did that, and it didn't work.
After mucking around with some other drivers and checking BIOS settings I thought I'd just reinstall XP and see if that helps, but it didn't - the sound still isn't being detected and installing the drivers doesn't work. 🙁
Also, I am pretty sure the sound component still works because the Asus POST reporter still works properly, with the speakers plugged in I can hear the chicks voice, but I just can't get it to be detected in Windows. 🙁
If anyone has come across this problem and knows a possible fix that would be great!
