Asus A7V unable to run 133MHZ w/ a 1200mhz AMD

Hi guys
We bought my father a Asus A7V with a AMD Thunderbird 1200 mhz 266FSB. In the weekend we installed it together, but was unable to get the mainboard to run at 133MHZ, meaning the CPU is stuck at 900MHZ.
Can anyone tell me if I have to do anything special in order to make it work?

Thank you in advance,

Jesper Lindhardt

<b><A HREF="http://www.asus.com.tw/products/Motherboard/socketa/a7v/index.html" target="_new">A7V</A></b> is KT133 chipset mobo can only run at 100MHz FSB. You need at least <b><A HREF="http://www.asus.com.tw/products/Motherboard/socketa/a7v133/index.html" target="_new">A7V133</A></b> to run 133MHz FSB.
You can increase your CPU's multiplier to 12 (provided that your CPU is unlock) by using Dipswitch.

Hi Khha

Thank you for your quick reply. It must be a A7V133. I bought it last Thursday and in the manual it says that it supports 266FSB.

Thank you :)

If it is A7V133, you need got to BIOS and manually change FSB to 133 or you can use Dipswitch to do that (instruction is in its manual).
