ASUS A7V133, or ASUS A7M266, or the ASUS A7A266 DDR Motherboards?

Which one will work better for an AMD Athlon Axia 1.33 266 FSB CPU?

All of these boards support the 200/266 FSB, and the ASUS A7A266 Supports DDR Memory.

From what I read the most stable now is the ASUS A7V133 that still uses the PC-133 SDRAM.

I know that IWILL, GIGABYTE, and MSI have good Motherboards also, but I have always liked the ASUS Motherboards, since they are so popular and very well supported.

Should I wait for the new ASUS A7N266 that used the NVIDIA Chipset?

Asus is you best bet. It supports both SDRAM and DDR-SDRAM and the latest AMD Cpu's. A7A266 is stable.

Nice Intel and AMD users get a Cookie.... Yummy

I use the A7M266, because at the time AMD 761 is much more stable than Ali Magik, but with a BIOS update, the A7A266 could be stable as well.

I still prefer the A7M266 because it performs better

a7v133 here. no problems EXCEPT for using one version of the via4in1 drivers.
see post entitled "VIA 4in1 has buggered my Burner!"

My Hamster has 512MB of SDRAM @ 150Mhz CAS 2!

Yup, VIA is the biggest pain in the neck of all. But all problems could be fixed by installing couple patches. If you decided to go with the A7M266, you are welcome to email me, I will send you a list of patches/fixes to download

As an avid AMD supporter, I would like to add a few words.
All the suggested boards are as most people advise (Good M/B`s & Chipsets).
I do however, believe that the future (not too distant) lies with the new nForce chipset by Gforce & one partner happens to be AMD with ASUS & others.
ASUS are about to release a new M/B (A7N)which will on all known figures out perform current chipsets & M/B`s of the 266 varity.
If you can wait till the last quarter of this year, I strongly recommend that you do so and buy the RAID version of the nForce ASUS A7N266 - R M/B, you will not be dissapointed.
