On a clean install of XP pro none of the onboard USB2 sockets work or
show in device manager- 4 in 1 drivers in place
On installing a PCI USB2 card (via) USB is showing in device manager but
any USB2 devices are showing as being in a USB1 slot

Anyone know why this is and how to correct it

Thanks

You at XP SP1 or later?

You should really install SP2, it's good.

As recall on this mobo, u have to run the mobo install disk. There is
an option to enable USB2, which the disk does part of and then it
tells u to DL and install SP1 to finish the installation.
