I built my PC almost 3 years ago, recently upgraded CPU to AMD A10-7890k and GPU to AMD Radeon RX 480 RS. I started with Windows 7, it updated to 10 when it came out, then started crashing with various "codes" 2 days ago (20+ times in 3 hours); so I started fresh and reinstalled Windows 7 yesterday after I finally managed to backup my personal files. Last night I was letting it update Windows 7 and fell asleep, this morning I woke up and the screen was black, I tried to "wake it up" but nothing and the Dram/Mem-ok light was on.

I did force shutdown and tried unplugging it and other things, but still can't get BIOS. Monitor is reading that there is something coming from the video card though. I need help as I now don't have a PC to do my work. As I said everything was working, I played a few games, played music, and videos for over 3 hours. I am tone deaf, so beap codes from motherboard aren't "available", Dram/Mem-ok light is still on steady.

MB: ASUS A88X-PLUS
CPU: AMD A10-7890K (old: AMD A10-7850K)
GPU: AMD RADEON RX 480 RS (old: AMD RADEON R9-270X)
MEM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE (PRO?) 2×8 GB
PSU: Rosewill Techyon 1000W 80+
Optical drive: ASUS blue ray (BC12 something)
2 WD hard drives 1 TB (for system) + 4 TB (for work)
OS: Windows 7 ultimate

Memory for the A10-7890K is DDR3-2133, but you don't know what memory you have.
Apparently, you also don't know how to set the memory clock, dram timings or dram voltage.

Dram/Mem-ok light is still on steady indicates you have a problem with the memory.

I would suggest you remove the memory and write down the numbers on the label. Try to remember where you acquired the memory. Are they a couple random modules or a single kit? Do you have a link to the memory or its part number?

You messaged just in time for me to get this thing running again, I unplugged everything and uninstalled/reinstalled both memory cards now everything is working again. Like you said I honestly don't know those things in depth, and the memory cards are 4 GB each, not 8 GB, and it was a set of 2 Corsair Vengeance 4GB's from Newegg. I still don't know what caused it though. Thank-you for the input.
