Asus AC86U - OpenVPN - Connected - Fast Download/ Super Slow Upload 0.5Mb??

Hi guys,

Finally got my brand new router Asus AC86U and i have just set up OpenVPN with IPVANISH (tested via PC the server pulls fast DL+UL), i didn't realise at first you needed to set DNS so i have manually added Googles DNS. 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4.

Now the problem is my download is super fast i was 55Mb before VPN and now i am pulling just over 50 Via WiFi which is superb.

My upload was 20mb before, it's now pulling just 0.5....

I am terrible with networking, anybody kindly got any ideas where to look please? i have no idea.

Hi there, i have tested the same server from PC and it pulls the full 20mb upload ? this must be a setting on the router somehwere?

Nop, just load the .ovpn file for the particular server you've chosen & it will set everything for you. No need do it manually.

Hi guys the problem was with the factory supplied IPVANISH files for the ASUS AC86U router, sorted and working now !
