Hi I have been trying to OC using Asus Ai Suite, 5 way optimisation, and I am getting some weird stuff.
I click extreme tuning, TPU II, All Cores, Start from ratio 45, Encoding Stability, and all of the target settings off.
I start it, and it doesn't start at 4.5, it starts at 4.3. It does this up until 4.6, until it restarts. After it reboots, it modifies the BASE CLOCK. It then modifies the base block a bit more until it displays the stopcode 'memory management.'
It restarts, but does not post. I manually restart it, and the bios says it couldn't post and it booted into safe mode. I then reset the overclock from the bios (base clock in red). I then save and exit, and it boots up fine, and then Ai Suite pops back up and wants to modify Digi+ VRM, and then displays the overclock as if nothing had happened.
It is annoying as i bought a k sku cpu and an expensive cooler and I want to OC.
I have:
6700k CPU
16 gb corsair 3200mhz LPX memory
Asus z170-AR mobo bios 3007
kraken x61 cpu cooler
Corsair CX750M power supply
