Back story, my computer was plug up and running, plugged into a power strip, we had a power surge and all lights went dim then about 10 seconds later back to full power. My computer was on and running. The post below is someone that posted on the forum before but is identical to what is going on with my computer.

I have ruled out a power supply because I ordered a new power brick and just tested that today. I have reseated the ram also but still nothing.

Any thoughts?

My Asus AiO V230IC does not switch on at all, no lights are flashing, fan's not spinning, computer seems to be completely dead. But... when I plug in my cell phone to usb port it starts charging. My question is - what's wrong with it?

What power supply were you using when this happened?

I was using the stock power supply, which I ordered a new one and am still getting the same results. Also this is an All In One computer so I guess I'm not sure if the computer has some sort of internal power supply as well.

Also from the looks of the top motherboard there are no popped capacitors or any fried marks on the board from what I can see

Most likely a cheap Chinese power supply that lacked the proper protections and your computer is likely trash. This is why you don’t buy cookie cutter assembly line computers.

I appreciate the opinion but that doesn't help me in this current situation so as respectfully as I can be, if you don't have any input as to what I could test or try to solve the issue, I do not need the negative comments
