My pc is as follows:
i5 3570k @3.4
Gtx 780
Asus p8z77-v lk
8gb corsair vengeance @1600
Corsair tx750m

My pc sometimes shuts down and brings up the message: asus anti surge was triggered due to unstable power supply. Press f1 to go fo setup. I had the same problem a few months ago and it went away after a couple of days. It can sometimes happen while browsing the web but more often than not happens while im gaming. The problem has just returned and can happpen every 10 minutes or so or will do it every couple of hours.
I googled it and found others with thesame problem and it turned out to be their poor quality psu but in this case my psu seems to be of good standard. I know you can turn off the asus anti surge protection in the bios but ide feel a bit unsafe doing so incase something happens. If I did turn it off would I be at risk?
Anyway, how do you think i should proceed in tackling this problem?
Any suggestions appreciated
P.s I would also like to know what could be triggering this or is it just a glitch with the surge protection being too sensitive?

make sure your running the newest mb bios. in windows run hardware monitor or use a volt meter look at your 12v rail of the power supply see if it holding. if you see it dropping and or going higher then 12v then back down...put in a rma for the power supply. also if your using a ups try plugging the pc into the wall. also try another outlet to make sure your outlet not the issue.
