[SOLVED] Asus Anti-Surge triggering regularly.

Hi everyone.
I've had my computer shutting down and restarting itself (about once a day since a week ago, no regularity in the time of day) randomly and getting the asus surge protection message each time. I figured it might my PSU, it's like 6 or 7 years old so I went and replaced that. Went fine the first three days, but the issue has popped up again, once each in the last two days. I haven't made any other changes to my setup in a long time and I highly doubt I'm getting power surges with such regularity, everything else plugged into that outlet continues to work just fine.
My mobo is just as old as the previous PSU and from my limited understanding that seems like a possible culprit? My b if this was supposed to go somewhere else.

Asus H97 Pro Gamer
Intel i7-4770
Geforce GTX 1050ti
2x8gb ram
Some corsair AIO with a single fan
Coolermaster Masterwatt 650 Bronze (Previous PSU was 600w)

Thanks!

EDIT: Well, it happened two more times in very quick succession. Went in to reseat cables and dust things off, all the capacitors on the board look normal, too. Plugged it into a different socket on the same outlet to see if that does anything.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to check and see what BIOS version you're on at the time of writing. You might also want to corroborate with Asus's support page for your motherboard for any pending BIOS updates. Inspect the motherboard for any blown up or burnt components on the motherboard. Chances are that the PSU might've taken part of your motherboard out.

You might want to also try and relocate the system to another wall outlet and see if the issue persists. Make and model of your surge protector or power strip?
