Hello,
I don't think that the music or temperature effect in Asus Aura is working on my Strix GTX 1080.
Whenever it is enabled and applied it just stays on it's current effect.
Anyone got any ideas as to why this isn't working?
Thanks,
Jack

The music effect is very buggy, and doesn't really work well if at all.
Typically it only works when you're using on board audio, so if you're using an audio card that could be a problem.
The temperature effect could just be due to the fact that the card stays at such a consistent temperature! :)
Try altering your fan curve to raise the temperature to around the 70s in order to see if the color is changing.

I have the ASUS STRIX X99 motherboard and am using the ASUS Aura Lighting Control v1.03.23 dated 07/06/2016.

I also have Phanteks Multi-Color LED strips in 2 meter length (PH-LEDKT_M2), and the Phanteks RBG LED 4 pin adapter (PH-CB_RGB4P).

At first I managed to connect the LED strip to the motherboard without the 4-pin adapter, and the Music Effect would work. But, the colors were not synchronized, so I opted to get the 4-pin adapter. After installing the adapter, the colors were synchronized (between motherboard and LED strip), but now the Music Effect was not working.

I Googled and found this thread and a few others on ASUS Republic and Reddit forums. I did not find an answer, so I decided to see if I could figure it out myself. In the Windows taskbar, I clicked on the Realtek HD Audio Manager icon. My motherboard uses SupremeFX. I clicked on the gear icon (Settings) in the top right hand corner, and then selected "Option." It had five categories: Language, Notification, Connector Settings, Playback Device, and Recording Device. I went under Playblack Device and unchecked "Mute the rear output device, when a front headphone plugged in" and CHECKED "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously."

That fixed the problem for me. Hopefully it helps you.
