Hi all

I'm currently building a new PC. Those are the main components:
Mainboard: ASUS B150M Plus D3
CPU: Intel Celeron G3900 LGA1151
RAM: Kingston Value RAM (1x, 8GB, DDR3-1600, DIMM 240)
PSU: Kolink KL-400 ATX

My problem is that there is no video output when I power up the machine. The fans are spinning and the leds on the mainboard light up. Also, there is no beep. However, the speaker is working, since if I remove the RAM it starts to beep.

This is what I did so far:
- Connected display using VGA, DVI and HDMI
- Disconnected all non-relevant components except Mainboard, CPU, RAM and PSU
- Checked if the PSU is properly connected (24-pin EATXPWR, 4-pin EATX12V)
- Checked if the CPU, RAM are properly installed
- Got another RAM bar from the vendor
- Got another CPU from the vendor
- Cleared CMOS by connecting the 2 pins on the board and by removing the battery for some time
- BIOS Version 406 (shipped) seems to be compatible with CPU (according to this)

Now I'm at a point where I have no idea how to proceed. I'm not even 100% sure if all components are compatible. But so far I haven't found anything that doesn't seem to be compatible. Does anyone have an idea what could be incompatible?

I don't think that the PSU is broken since the fans are spinning and the leds light up (I know this doesn't mean the PSU is really ok). So I guess the next thing would be to return the mainboard to the vendor. Or has anyone a better idea?

Thank you very much!

Solution
Must be mobo then. Just double checked compatibility, and all should be ok. CPU is compatible with DDR3L, as is mobo. Logic points to motherboard failure.
Lets start from what works. CPU+mobo+PSU, no RAM = beeps. Right?
Next step is, put RAM. If no beeps, try each of the 4 slots. If nothing works at this step, you either have RAM malfunction or mobo slots malfunction. You mention you got another RAM stick, so it's probably mobo then.

Thanks for your answer.

Exactly. CPU+MOBO+PSU, no RAM = beeps (long, short, short)

I've tried each of the 4 slots and always got the same result: No beeps, no video. I don't think that it's a RAM malfunction, since I've already replaced the RAM and it didn't help.

DRagor was right. After replacing the Mainboard everything worked perfectly fine.

Two points you might want to check:
- Are you using low voltage DDR3?
- Is your CPU compatible with your BIOS Version? Check here: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/B150M-PLUS-D3/HelpDesk_CPU/

I got same situation here. Some of the guys in the forum suggested that the CPU socket might be damaged. Not in my situation though. U can check yours.
