Question asus b365plus m.2 not working

So I started building a custom build and I got an m.2 for my main SSD and to install windows to, and although my mobo (b365plus prime) should be in theory compatible with my m.2 ( crucial p2 ssd 500gb m.2 2280 pci express 3.0 4x) it will still show up in bios and windows realizes that it exists but thats it it wont recognize the actual storage part of it it just thinks its a random device. Not able to install windows on it nor create a partition. Tried alot of stuff from a bunch of threads on this website on reddit's forums on asus but nothing. Thanks in advance for any attempts or any help

Yes I tested both m. 2 slots but the second m. 2 won't work for firing up windows from because of factory settings

Yes latest windows media. I even installed it on the pc I built for my little brother 2 days ago

I would think more likely is the motherboard, but could also me the m2. ssd

Don't have another pc that has m. 2 slots but yet both mobo and m. 2 are new and the weird thing is that it picks up that there's a storage device just doesn't pick up the actual storage, could be with windows too because installer doesn't recog nor windows allows me to make a particion
