Hi. I am building a new PC and am having trouble booting past POST. When I install my nvme ssd into m.2 socket 1 (front) the system gets past POST. When I install into m.2 socket 2 (rear) the system keeps powering off after the green LED lights up (after orange, white). I am assuming socket 2 is dead... I think it it might has been damaged when I accidentally used the taller standoff on the rear side (I didn't notice the shorter and correct one in the box). After powering on I think maybe the nvme add might have protruded out too far and made contact with the main panel, causing the socket internal components to short out... Just guessing but not sure if that is possible.
According to the manual, socket 1 is PCIe 3.0 x4 + SATA and socket 2 is PCIe 3.0 x4.
Is socket 1 slower than socket 2 because it shares an interface? If it isn't I will probably just use that socket, otherwise I will buy a new one.
