I put together this system last night and went to boot up today. System is an Intel i5-10400 with 16Gb of 3000MHz RAM. Full breakdown is in PCPartPicker link below.

When I powered on the system, the CPU and case fan would spin, and the green light from the NVMe would turn on, but no display. Tried changing out the RAM in different slots, no luck. Lastly I pulled the mobo back out of the case and tried to boot it with just the CPU, cooler, and a single stick of RAM, and still no display. It is currently plugged into my Samsung TV as I know that display works fine.

Solution
No the supplemental connector is not needed.
I see no GPU listed, are you absolutely positive that you have a 10400 and not a 10400F ? The F version has no iGPU and would explain the no display.
What cable type are you using?
I'm using a basic HDMI cable, but have tried multiple cables and both DP for my monitors and HDMI for the TV.

Talking with a co-worker and I may have goofed... I never hooked up the supplemental 8-pin power connector at the top of the board because dummy me didn't think it was needed (more power for OC). Going to verify that tonight when I get home from work.

Finally got it to display. It was 100% the additional 8 pin above the CPU, and it's also a 10400 non-f. Thanks for replying tho
